Being a Mom

I am so fortunate to be a mom of two beautiful children. I want to show others that no matter what choices you make with your career, relationships, and motherhood you can continue to follow your dreams and motherhood doesn’t have to hold you back.

Travel Obsession

I had a profound experience living on a ship for 4 months traveling around the world. Never stepping foot out of the country, I came back to the United States with a global perspective and passion for seeing more of the world. Semester at Sea takes a global comparative approach to study abroad using a ship as its traveling campus and sailing to multiple ports around the world.  Continue to follow my journey of visiting a new country each year and reaching my goal of visiting all 7 continents. Hint: I only have 2 more to visit!

Making an Impact

Growing up my parents instilled in me to always give back to my community in some way. One of my first memories of making an impact was when in the 3rd grade I was in the Connecticut Childrens Medical Center for a few days after my appendix was removed and all I wanted to do was play the Nintendo to keep me occupied. When they brought the gaming system there was only a handful of games to choose from and none that honestly were fun. When I returned to school I started a game drive collecting used Nintendo games and together we collected hundreds for the hospital! Simple acts like this and so much more are ways we work together to better our communities.

My commitment to volunteerism, education and experiences traveling around the world have taught me leadership, mindfulness, drive, and versatility. I enjoy working with Special Olympics, Best Buddies, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Samaritans Feet and serving on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Waterbury.

Yogi

As a young adult, I was looking for a hobby or activity to fill a void I had when it came to movement. I discovered my love for yoga and completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2019 and am currently working towards my 500-hour training. Yoga is more than just movement but an opportunity to come into the present moment and reconnect our mind and body.
